What a good bio has to do
Your bio is read by people deciding whether to follow you, usually in under three seconds. It has one job: make the answer obvious.
- Say what you post. “Daily home baking recipes” tells a visitor what they get. “Living my best life” tells them nothing.
- Stay under 150 characters. Instagram cuts off after that, and a bio that needs a “more” tap loses most readers.
- Break it into lines. Three short lines are read; one dense paragraph is skipped.
- End with one action. A single link or instruction beats four competing ones.
Pick whichever generated bio is closest and edit it. A bio in your own words always reads better than one that sounds generated — these are a starting point.
